Grants
The project NSINED (PID2024-158399NB-I00), co-led by Eduardo García-Portugués and Andrea Meilán-Vila, has been funded through the “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2024” call. The project is developed at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Among the researchers within the project are José E. Chacón, Silvia Novo, Rebeca Peláez, Diego Serrano, Ewa Strzałkowska-Kominiak, Iñaki Úcar, and Thomas Verdebout.
Diego Serrano has obtained the competitive PhD grant “PIPF Programa “Inteligencia Artificial”” from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
Andrea Meilán-Vila has been promoted to Senior Assistant Professor (Personal Investigador Doctor)! The promotion was achieved from the public call announced by UC3M’s Resolution of November 5, 2024.
Paul Axmann joins NICDA through a PhD grant within the ‘Stein-based goodness-of-fit TEsts for Non-Euclidean Data’ (STENED) project! Paul will officially start his PhD at the Department of Mathematics of Karlsruhe Institute for Technology in February 2025.
Vinícius Litvinoff joins NICDA through a PhD grant within the ‘Stein-based goodness-of-fit TEsts for Non-Euclidean Data’ (STENED) project! Vinícius will officially start his PhD in Statistics for Data Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in February 2025.
The project STENED, co-led by Eduardo García-Portugués and Bruno Ebner has been funded through the “AEI-DFG Call for Joint Spanish-German Research Projects”. The project is jointly participated by the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Andrea Meilán-Vila and Alberto Fernández-de-Marcos also participate in STENED.
