Alberto Fernández-de-Marcos wins the Mardia Poster Award at ADISTA 2025!

Alberto Fernández-de-Marcos has obtained the Mardia Poster Award for the best poster in the International Workshop on Advances in Directional Statistics (ADISTA) held in the University of Luxembourg from 10th to 12th September 2025. ADISTA is the leading international conference on directional statistics.

Alberto’s poster is titled “Testing uniformity on the sphere: from pairs to m-tuples” and it can be accessed here. The prize is named in honor of Prof. Kanti Mardia, a pioneer in the field of directional statistics. A dedicated award committee awarded the Mardia Prize to Alberto due to the outstanding creativity, clarity and impact of his poster at ADISTA25.
