Alberto Fernández-de-Marcos obtains a PhD grant from the Community of Madrid

Alberto Fernández-de-Marcos obtained the competitive PhD grant “Ayudas de personal investigador predoctoral en formación 2023” from the Community of Madrid in May 2024. Alberto switched to a full-time PhD in October 2024, joining NICDA.

The PIPF 2023 grant provides funding for a 4-year PhD project and some research stays abroad. Alberto’s thesis topic is on contributions to one- and $k$-sample tests on directional statistics, and is supervised by Eduardo García-Portugués.
