Ewa Strzalkowska-Kominiak obtained her degree in Mathematics from the Warsaw University of Technology and then her PhD in Natural Sciences from Justus-Liebig Universitat Giessen, where she worked as an Assistant in the Mathematical Institute from 2003 to 2008. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2009 to 2012 at the University of A Coruña. She joined the Department of Statistics of Carlos III University of Madrid for the first time in 2012 as a “Juan de la Cierva” fellow and then in 2022 as Visiting Professor, serving here as Associate Professor since 2024.
Her research mainly focuses on the development of statistical methodologies in nonparametric statistics, survival analysis and functional data analysis.
