Bio

Eduardo García-Portugués obtained his PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2014. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2015 to 2016 at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. He joined the Department of Statistics of Carlos III University of Madrid in 2016 as an Assistant Professor, then as a “Juan de la Cierva–Incorporación” fellow, and has been serving as an Associate Professor since 2021.

His research mainly concerns the development of statistical methodologies related to complex and non-Euclidean data from the perspectives of mathematical, nonparametric, and computational statistics.
